Indian Air Force has released the AFCAT - I exam 2024 notification for flying, technical, and non-technical branches. For various branches in IAF, AFCAT has issued 317 vacancies on the official website. The AFCAT exam is held twice a year during February and August. Both male and female candidates who wish to join the Indian Air Force can fill up the AFCAT application form and take the online exam. AFCAT 1 2024 notification has been out from 1st December to 30th December 2023. The exam of IAF AFCAT 1 will take place on 16th to 18th February 2024. AFCAT 2 2024 notification has been out on June 2024(Tentative). The exam of IAF AFCAT 2 will take place on August 2024(Tentative). The Air Force Common Admission Test is a national-level examination that helps in selecting Grade A officers. IAF has scheduled the AFCAT 1 exam on 16th to 18th February 2024. The AFCAT 1 notification was out on 18th November 2023 and Application process start from 01st December to 30th December 2023.

Flying Branch - 8- 10 Lakh (Rs 85,372/month)
Ground Duty (Non - Technical) - 7-9 Lakh (Rs 71,872)

How many attempts can we give for the AFCAT Exam?

In general candidates can take 5-6 attempts minimum for the AFCAT exam. IAF conducts AFCAT exam twice a year. This gives opportunity to the candidates to reappear in case they couldn’t attempt the first one. IAF considers that the candidate has graduated at the age of 22 years and gives his first attempt in the last year of graduation. 

Is AFCAT interview hard to crack?

AFCAT interview which is also known as SSB or AFSB Interview is the final stage for the selection in IAF. Although the AFSB interview is a bit tough, IAF aspirants must be thorough with their preparations.Candidates must refer to the official syllabus and pattern and prepare accordingly.
